Happy ‘Tails’

The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter has a very important job.

It’s not just about finding dogs new homes. It’s also about rescuing, healing and rehabilitating animals that have seen the worst. That’s why we try to give them the best new beginnings.

Whether they are sick, abused or have never had a home, once they find CCAS they are given love.

Here are just a few of their stories:

Posie

Posie, an eight-month-old hound mix, came to the shelter weighing only 19 pounds. She was emaciated and suffering from severe mange.

Colt

Colt, a pit bull-boxer mix, came to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter when he was three. He’d been shot three times in the head and was found on the side of the road in East Cleveland.
