In our last newsletter, we shared the story of Parcha, an great dog who waited patiently for 547+ days to find her forever home. We have wonderful news to share – Parcha has been adopted by a wonderful woman named Nicole and has been settling into her new home for the past four months. Nicole, who spent a night with Parcha shortly after her arrival at the shelter, couldn’t get this pup out of her mind.
Thanks to the support from Friends of the Cuyahoga County Kennel (FCCAS), Parcha, who initially arrived at the shelter scared, anxious, and lacking socialization, received specialized training, including for her “stranger danger” reactions, at Miracle K9. This training prepared her for adoption into a loving home.
Parcha also benefited greatly from foster care provided by Vince, one of our dedicated foster volunteers. Being in a foster home was crucial for Parcha, as it helped improve her mental well-being compared to being in a shelter. After Parcha successfully completed her training, Nicole took the leap to foster Parcha with the intention of adopting her.
Nowadays, Parcha and her new mom Nicole enjoy spending time together sleeping on the couch, going on car rides, playing games like keep away and rolling around in the grass. Their bond continues to grow stronger each day!
