Pupdate on Strike

Remember Strike? In our last FCCAS eNewsletter, we shared how he was struggling with an intense fear of being confined to a kennel. Thanks to FCCAS-funded training, he worked hard to overcome that fear so he could enjoy all the good dog things—like walks, playtime, and some well-deserved relaxation!

Strike turned out to be an absolute star student! He quickly mastered new behaviors and tricks, all while happily munching on treats and basking in the praise.

We are beyond excited to share that Strike has found his perfect forever home with one of our very own CCAS volunteers, Mary R.Strike

Mary originally decided to foster Strike “because he was deteriorating from shelter life and bouncing around foster homes,” she said. He was bouncing between foster homes, and she wanted to give him the stability he needed.

Strike settled in so well that Mary decided to adopt him! She said, “He brought out the playfulness in my other dog, and they became BFFs. I was also so impressed with how quickly he adapted to our home routine.”

Now, Strike is thriving in his new home. “My favorite thing about him is how affectionate and seeing him be a joyful dog,” Mary noted.

Strike is living proof that every dog, no matter their challenges, is capable of being amazing with a little love and training. We couldn’t be happier for him and Mary—it’s a heartwarming happy ending!
