Meet Revere—the dog who keeps believing, even after nearly two years of waiting.

Revere has watched people walk past his kennel, again and again. Puppies. Smaller dogs. “Easier” dogs. And every time, he stays hopeful. Tail wagging. Eyes soft. Heart wide open.
He’s a 6-year-old Boxer/Terrier mix, black and white, and unmistakably one of a kind. Revere has special needs that make him look a little different—but spend five minutes with him and you’ll see what staff and volunteers already know: this dog is pure joy. He carries his story with quiet courage and greets every day like it’s a gift.
During a foster break, Revere showed us who he really is:
• Housebroken
• Gentle and affectionate with kids
• A world-class cuddler
• Lover of stuffies and praise
• Thrives on human connection
This is a dog who doesn’t just want a home—he wants his person. Someone who understands that love doesn’t have to be perfect to be profound.
Revere will do best as the only pet, where he can soak up all the love he’s waited so patiently for. And trust us—he will give it back tenfold. His ideal home is a compassionate one, willing to learn about his journey and walk forward with him.
He’s done the hard part. He survived. He healed. He kept his heart soft.
Now all he needs is someone to say, “You’re mine.”
Revere currently lives in a foster home and is not available for same-day meet and greets, but we would love to talk with you about whether you might be the one he’s been waiting for.

Ask about Revere. Share his story. Be the reason his waiting finally ends.
Sometimes the most extraordinary love stories start with the dog no one else stopped for. 🐾💙
