Meet Secret, a beautiful 3-year-old Bulldog mix waiting patiently for someone to finally notice her.
Secret has been at the shelter since last August — far too long for a young dog with so much love to give. Every day she waits, hoping the next person who walks by her kennel will be her person.

This sweet girl has the perfect blend of playful energy and affection. She loves to move—whether it’s a walk, a game or simply stretching her legs—but once the fun is over, she’s more than happy to lean in for cuddles and quiet time with her favorite human. Secret forms strong bonds and will be a deeply loyal, devoted companion.
Secret would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she’s been missing. She’d thrive with a family with children 8 and older who can respect her space and enjoy her fun, active personality.
After months in the shelter, Secret isn’t asking for much—just one person to see how special she is. The moment she leaves the shelter doors behind, she’ll give her whole heart to the family who gives her a chance.

Meet Gator — your future adventure buddy with a heart as big as his smile.
Gator is a 3-year-old grey and white Pit Bull Terrier mix who has never met a day he didn’t want to live all the way out loud. Since arriving at Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (CCAS) in May, he’s been busy showing everyone exactly who he is: joyful, energetic, affectionate, and full of personality.

This happy-go-lucky guy wears his excitement on his sleeve—and sometimes in his voice. Gator can be vocal when he’s amped up, especially when playtime is on the agenda. In playgroups, his enthusiasm can be a bit much for calmer, more reserved dogs, so he’s looking for a confident, active canine companion who can keep up with his playful spirit and match his zest for life.
Gator thrives on movement, engagement and connection. He’s the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, get you outside more often and remind you daily how fun life can be when you greet it with tail wags and boundless optimism. What he wants most is a family who will embrace his energy, help him channel it and love him for the joyful force of nature he is.
Gator is currently in a foster home and is not available for same-day meet and greets—but he is very ready to meet the people who will call him family.
If you’re searching for a playful, high-energy companion with a huge heart and an even bigger personality, Gator may be the one you’ve been waiting for.

Meet Pip Squeak — small name, big heart and a whole lot of love to give.
Pip Squeak is a 2-year-old tan and white Boxer/Terrier mix who has been waiting at Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (CCAS) since August. She’s the perfect blend of gentle and joyful—outgoing and playful with people she knows, and adorably cautious when the world feels new.

When Pip Squeak steps into unfamiliar situations, she doesn’t panic—she checks in. She looks to her person for reassurance, quietly asking, “Is this okay?” With patience and encouragement, her confidence grows. One of her Dog’s Day Out companions shared that when she encounters something new on a walk, calmly approaching it together helps her understand it’s safe—then she’s happy to explore on her own. She’s a dog who truly bonds with her person and trusts their guidance.
In the home, Pip Squeak shines. She’s believed to be housebroken, knows her basic commands like sit and down, and settles into routines with ease. She loves playing tug-of-war, staying active, and then curling up close for cuddles. During a staycation, she was described as affectionate, well-mannered and eager to please—an all-around wonderful house guest.
Pip Squeak would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love, and with children ages 8 and older who understand how to be gentle and respectful. She’s not asking for chaos—she’s asking for connection.
As one staff member perfectly put it: “She’s a good dog.” And sometimes, that says everything.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will look to you with trust, grow alongside you, and reward your patience with affection and devotion, Pip-Squeak may be your perfect match. 🐾 To learn more about Pip Squeak, visit https://24petconnect.com/PP5047/Details/PP5047/58443274
