Hi… I’m Dawson.
I’m only 2 years old, but I’ve already been through more than most dogs ever should. A few months ago, I was found hurt, scared, and alone with a broken pelvis. I was in so much pain, and for a while, all I could do was lie still and hope someone would help me.
Thankfully, kind people did.
I spent months healing in medical care, resting quietly while everyone rooted for me. And now, the best news of all — I’ve healed beautifully and I’m finally ready to find a home of my own.
Even after everything I went through, I never stopped loving people. My tail still wags nonstop every time someone walks by. I still hand out kisses and cuddles every chance I get because love is all I’ve ever really wanted.
The people caring for me say my happiness is contagious. They say I bring joy everywhere I go. I hope that’s true, because deep down, I’m just trying to show the world that my heart is still full of love, even after being hurt.
What I want most isn’t complicated.
I dream about a soft bed. A safe home. Someone who will let me curl up beside them and finally exhale. Someone who will look at me and say, “You’re home now.”
I don’t need perfection. I just need a chance. A family to love forever.
