On February 21, FCCAS received an amazingly generous gift from the Garfield Heights Eagles Club as part of the Eagles’ annual charitable bingo donation. The Eagles presented us with a check for $48,152 in a ceremony at the shelter, after which they stayed for a behind-the-scenes tour.

FCCAS is deeply grateful for such generous support, and very excited about what it will enable us to do. Not only can we continue our Pet Food Pantry, Modi Heartworm Fund and Slow the Flow spay/neuter program – with this amazing gift from the Garfield Eagles, we can also tackle some of the pressing needs at the shelter.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles, an international non-profit organization, works to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope. To that end, they raise money through charitable bingo and fundraising events
throughout the year. Before the ceremony, Eagles representative Ray Pierce explained, “Even though our motto is people helping people, we feel animals need help too. As our Aerie moves into the future, we are looking to be more community-based with our donations. We chose FCCAS this past year because our members are animal lovers and the shelter is right here in our backyard.”
All of us at FCCAS are grateful that we live in a community with such a generous and caring heart. THANK YOU, GARFIELD EAGLES!
